Vintage Easter Art Makes Great Decorations

It’s interesting to note just how useful digital vintage art for holidays can be. A few years ago I saw pictures on a blog that showed how the blog owner used free vintage Easter clip art and greeting cards hung from pretty ribbons to decorate for Easter. I never forgot it, because the photos were so lovely.

Vintage Easter clip art was printed on substantial colored card stock and hung everywhere at this woman’s fancy bed and breakfast. The owner also had vintage cards standing up on tables, wall units and pieces of antique furniture. The vintage images were surrounded by faux spring flowers, which gave the arrangements a spring-like, happy feel. The result was a gorgeous Easter tableau that I’ll bet the guests at bed and breakfast found quite engaging. I haven’t looked at her blog since that time, but she probably did the same type of decorating treatment for Valentine’s Day. The color scheme was probably a little different than for Easter (a lot more red and pink!), but the principle is always the same: online vintage cards and clip art and your printer can be wonderful and versatile tools for home decorating!
