I have become a complete and utter nerd ball at the grocery store these days! I have reduced myself to carrying an armload of well organized coupons, a very detailed list, and a clip board that everything attaches to!! Talk about a serious grocery geek! However, I must tell you, that one Saturday at Kroger I discovered that there are people out there who are even bigger grocery geeks!! One particular Saturday Kroger was having a huge double coupon day where they double every coupon, even the dollar coupons. Now, you need to know that doubling a dollar coupon is serious business! But, it brought out the serious shoppers! I hit Kroger early that morning, but seriously, the place was packed! It was packed full of crazy coffee filled women with baseball card organizers stocked full of coupons! They even had coupons for their coupons! But, let me tell you! These grocery geeks knew exactly what to buy and how to save. When I checked out with my wad of coupons I truly looked like a beginner because the woman in front of me cleared over three hundred dollars of groceries for one hundred dollars! If I can save that much, I will turn one hundred percent grocery geek with them!
