People spend hours on interior designing. This can cost a fortune. Some people try to get cheap rugs and other decorations to help their budget. Others believe in minimalistic approach. Of course, this piece can not be considered minimalist at all, much less baroque-although the details of the pieces that attach the wooden base with the top of the table or in oriental style. The only word I can find to describe this piece-part that seems to resist any categorization, is the hybrid. Many quickly associate this word with biology, bioengineering, etc. However, this term is also used in literature. The chronicle of Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca (Jerez de la Frontera, 1507 – Sevilla, 1559), Shipwrecks, is now studied for literature and considered a hybrid. Not surprisingly, this text that belonged to the realms of history has been literaturized. Is that the challenge of this kind of texts that fall under the generic name of “Chronicles of the Indies” was finding a way of telling something completely new, unprecedented in literary models or codes.
